Trauma

There is little “t” trauma and big “T” trauma, and no one experiences trauma the same. We aren’t all wired the same, and that’s good. There is preverbal trauma, happened before 2 or 3, and this type would be big T; it’s the type that might make you wonder about your existence, feel that you don’t belong. Two people could be in the same car crash, but it’s impact on your mental health, might be quite different.

There is no right or wrong way to experience trauma. It can be something that hangs over you for a while, and sometimes you might not know why you feel the way you do, or not understand why you are reacting to an event the way you have. People do repress memories.

Together we can process your trauma in a safe space and at your speed. Picture your life without your trauma having so much control.

Remember, you are not over-reacting, you are reacting the only way you know how. You are protecting yourself. Sometimes, we stay at an emotional age of when the trauma occurred. People might call you on it, but remember, you are still here, and you are ready to start processing your trauma, and move on to being a happier and healthier you.
